 My career in business started back in 2013, when I launched a 3D printing company during high school. 3D printing wasn’t my true passion, but it introduced me to the world of business and set me on the path to accounting. In college, I was involved in the university’s student tax program and worked at a local public accounting firm. After earning my BSBA in Accounting in 2019, I completed my Master’s and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2021. Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of areas, including tax, financial statement audits, government compliance audits, and commercial real estate. 

Along the way, I got more involved in real estate, not just helping others, but actively investing myself. I earned my Alabama Real Estate license, became a SuperHost on Airbnb, and co-founded several real estate investment and business ventures. I still manage my own portfolio today, which gives me a deeper understanding of the tax and accounting challenges that come with real estate. 

Because I’ve been on both sides as a CPA and a real estate business owner, I’m passionate about helping others navigate real estate finances with clarity and confidence. Whether you’re managing properties, flipping houses, or just starting to invest, I’m here to help you make the most of your financial strategy.

My business career began when I graduated with my bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) in 2019. I found employment at a local accounting firm in Huntsville, where I worked with individuals and small businesses on their day-to-day operations and tax needs. As I progressed in my career, I went on to work for United Health Group (UHG) in their mental health division, helping onboard new clinics and standardizing them to UHG's processes and accounting schedule. 

I landed here with RMD as I began to grow my passion for helping business owners by using my accounting and analytical skills to improve workflows, provide financial clarity, simplify back-end operations, and ease the stress that comes with running a business

Outside of my career, I'm heavily involved in Ultimate Frisbee. I play, captain, and coach teams in multiple leagues around Huntsville. I really enjoy sharing my knowledge with people new to the sport and helping them figure out the ropes.

My career in business began when I started dating James. I feel like I could probably earn a minor in Business Administration with everything I've learned from him. When he suggested starting his own financial services firm, I was excited about the prospect of being more involved! I do some minor quality control and graphic consulting for our real estate companies, but with RMD Consulting & Advisory, I serve as the office administrator and marketing developer. 

Outside of RMD, I am an ICU nurse currently working towards my Ph.D. in Nursing Science to become an undergraduate nursing professor. I believe my background as a nurse and college instructor has equipped me with the organizational and detail-oriented skills necessary to deliver top-notch service to our clients. I'm excited to be on the RMD Team, helping our clients achieve their financial goals!
